"Charming, in almost every way.  The decor is quaint and homey - makes you feel at home, and relaxed.  Even when they're busy, they don't make you feel rushed, which I appreciate a lot.  The outdoor seating is also quiet and pleasant.  I really love that there's nothing "sceney" about this place, even though it tends to draw an important Hollywood industry crowd." e.c.

"I LOOOOVE this place! There are so many great things about it! They'll give you a little basket of cute, delicious mini pastries to start off, and while waiting for your order you can admire the adorable French decor while sipping their coffee, which is so good that it alone keeps me coming back. I've tried most of their muffins and so far have not been disappointed, although I think the carrot one is my favorite.  But my favorite menu item is the Jagster burger, which is the juiciest, yummiest turkey burger I've had in LA." k.d.

"Have yet to step foot inside, but great fan of their salads- chopped salad is great, and my southwest chicken salad today was wonderful and filling.
Warning: the baked goods are dangerous.. My coworkers couldn't resist bringing back a box of mini red velvet cupcakes, fruit tarts, and 'macadamia hearts'... which are now staring at me across the desk and for which I will pay dearly in gym time later... ugh/yum!" l.l.



"Too bad it's so far from me, but i still try to go at least once a month. Their pumpkin pancakes are a must-have, all though make sure you are very hungry or plan on taking some home because the portions are quite large (the only contradiction to them being a french cafe). The basket of freshly baked pastries they give you as soon as you walk in is definitely one of the things i look most forward to, especially the warm, glazed croissants." f.m.

"A big round of applause for La Conversation!! I think I might have a crush on this place! It's a cute, cozy French cafe on Doheny, with delightful interior decor and several outdoor tables. I ate breakfast here, which was *absolument céleste.*

-The lightest, most angelic Belgian waffle (do I detect a hint of vanilla in the batter??) with sweet fresh strawberries.

-A savory eggs benedict served on a croissant. Can you say buttery-licious? Eggs poached to perfection. Smokey ham. Thick hollandaise sauce.

-Lattes the size of a bowl of soup

-Fresh-squeezed orange juice

-All breafkast diners at La Conversation are also treated to a basket of fresh-baked goods which include mini-muffins, mini-scones, and la piece de resistance: warm, mini-croissants drizzled with a simple icing. SIGH.

I wish this breakfast experience for everyone I know... And everyone I DON'T know, too. I think if everyone ate breakfast here, there might be world peace."  m.c.
